Part XII: Night Flight

Jade’s P.O.V.

Jimmy sat up clutching the pillow against his naked body. “What do you lot want?”

“Well cheerful Sue.” Robert said sarcastically, pushing aside Jimmy’s frustration. “We got the edits for the new album sent to the hotel for our approval since we’re not in the studio back in England for another week…” He held up a dark envelope. “… but… since you’re too irritated, we’ll just have a look back in my room and give them to you when you’re through with the foul mood.” He held them against his chest.

“Oh I thought we weren’t getting those till next month.” He sat up, eager now to see beyond the dark envelope that held an excitment that flared in all of them like an out of control forest fire.

“Well the studio and Peter agreed that the album could and should be released no further then October. So with our final approval we can have it out sooner than we thought” Jonesy cheered.

“Well then let’s have a look.” Bonzo chimed.

The boys crowded on the bed, pulling me with them.

“Now for the revealing of Led Zeppelin II!” Robert opened the envelope and pulled out a record case covered in paper.

He ripped off the paper delicately and wiped the front of it clean.

“The first of many boys.” Robert smiled proud as a lion.

“Oh Christ! I look like a damn bloke.” Jimmy complained.

“No you don’t.” I laughed at his self-consciousness. “You look very sexy.” I kissed his cheek.

He smiled and kissed me back.

“Don’t trust the damn fool love.” Bonzo rolled his eyes. “He’s looking for attetion. We know damn well that YOU know how good lookin ya are.” He accused Jimmy.

Jimmy simply shrugged. “I approve.” He nodded to the cover. “Let’s have a listen.”

Jonesy jumped up from the bed and placed the record on the player and the needle down on it.

“You’re the luciest girl in the world.” Robert smiled.

“The first, outside of our kingdom of Zeppelin to hear the new album.” Jonesy smiled warmly.

I listened to them chatter through the music about different riffs and melodies and lyrics. They commented on everything and I was constantly asked for my opinion and openly gave it with honesty. The music moved me. It was melodic and hypnotic, from the poetry and orgasmic shrieks rising from Percy’s chest, electric currents emneting from Jimmy’s long and talented finger’s, deep sex-driving.plucks of Jonesy’s bass to the thunderous strikes of Bonzo, pouring every muscle and piece of passion he had in soul into his thick drum skins. I was lost in a world of music. The music of Led Zeppelin, knowing I would never return. I would stay lost in it forever.

Later that evening the boys had a concert. Tired from the excursions from that morning I decided to stay in the hotel room and rest. I ordered room service and relaxed in a pair of Jimmy’s white under pants and one of his t-shirts. The scent of him always sent me into a craze. Every time I would move I would smell his heady scent

Jimmy wasn’t too pleased about me not seeing the show but agreed to alowing me some rest.

“What am I supposed to do during Bonzo’s solo?” He had complained

“Not me.” I teased.

He rolled his eyes, kissed my forehead and left with a tinge of frustration. The man couldn’t go a night without someone getting him off. It was sad too leave him like that but he could deal with it himself for one show.

I wasn’t quite tired enough to sleep and I was starting to grow bored. I looked at the clock that read just passed 10:00 p.m.

I thought about him on stage, thrusting every emotion and note of passion building within his soul and quite literally his penis into every strum of his quick fingers on the hard cords of his guitar. I thought of him closing his eyes and feeling the music in himself like an electric current that shot through the audience at an amazing and potent speed.

A spark flew through me at the image of him in my mind. I layed there on the bed contemplating my options. I shrugged and reached down to my sweet spot, jimmy so generously pleased multiple times at night.

I began my work, thoughts of Jimmy racing through my mind. I tried desperately to reach the climax of pleasure but failed over and over again, realizing that Jimmy had ruined matsterbastion for me. He was so good at what he did and I could never match his skill. And unfortunately I had left George in my top drawer back home.

I sighed in frustration.  I knew what I had to do. I got up from the comfortable bed and pulled out a piece of lingerie from my suitcase. It was black lace that was so skimpy with barely any material to it. It showed off a lot. I looked in the mirror satisfied. I put a short black, strapless, sweet heart necklone dress over it.

I applied a thick amount of dark makeup to match the outfit and a dark red layer of lipstick. I left the hotel feeling sexy about my appearance and randy as can be for Jimmy.

I got to the concert hall in time for the middle of Moby Dick. I found Richard who was charming a couple of young groupies. I walked over to him. He looked over and did a double take.

“Oh wow.” He breathed. “Your looking quite dashing tonight.”

The groupies next to him rolled their eyes and walked away.

“Thank you.” I smiled. “Where’s Jimmy?”

“He’s in dressing room 3…” He smiled but quickly changed expressions to distress. “Oh but he’s relaxing. Tired evening. You come with me ill get you a drink love.” He grabbed my arm and started pulling me to a table surrounded by roadies and girls.

I pulled back, confused by his flustered state.

“What’s going on?” I asked confused.

“Nothing love. Let’s just leave it. Come.” He nodded to the table.

“Look Richard. I’m horny, frustrated and annoyed. Thanks to Jimmy I can’t get myself off anymore. I want his penis in me right now. So if you’ll excuse me.” I stated annoyed. I walked toward the room, a pit growing in my stomache for some unknown reason.

I heard Richard yelling to me, trying to get me to come back but I tuned him out. The door so close. I heard a loud bang coming from the stage and realized the solo was over. Footsteps away from the door, the most unbelievable thing happenened. The door flung open, a semi drunken Jimmy stumbled out laughing with a bleach blonde leech attatched to his arm.

I froze on the spot, horror melting through my mind like poison. He saw me and stopped, the waisted smile leaving his face.

He looked from me to the girl clinging to him. “Go.” He demanded her.

“What?” She asked confused, releasing her grip on him.

“Go!” He yelled.

Her mouth fell open and her eyebrows came together in anger.

“Jerk.” She said before giving me a dirty look and walking away.

“Jade.” He stepped towards me.

I matched him by taking a step back. I felt the lump rising in my throat and the pit in my stomache churning.

We stared at eachother for what seemed like forever. A tear fell slowly down my cheek.

“Jimmy your on.” A roadie yelled to him from the side of the stage.

He looked over at the stage. I turned and walked to the exit, too shocked to run or stomp.

“Jade!” He called, sorrow in his voice.

“Jimmy let’s go!” The roadie yelled again.

Richard met me at the doors to the exit. He put his hand on my shoulder. “It was nothing love.” He assured me. “Trust me… He would die for you. But that girl was just a piece of furnature in his dressing room.” He was sincere and so sure of himself but I was starting to doubt my position in his crazy life.

“Maybe that’s what I am too.” I said off in a daze.

“Dont go home. Wait for him in the hotel.” He begged.

I couldn’t say anymore. My voice felt lost in. I ached to scream and break down in a puddle of dis spare and anger but felt so numb on the outside. “Goodbye I said simply and dully, my head in the clouds. I wiped the tear from my face and walked out into the darkness.

Jimmy’s P.O.V.

I watched her walk away so slowly. I yearned to run after her. To reach her and hold her to me, tell her how stupid I was. Sorry I thought. But sorry didn’t begin to fix what I had caused. It didn’t make up for my idiocy. I ached and ached, pain in every muscle, organ, soul. I wanted to go back and take back the pain I had caused her. Was causing her.

“I’ll make sure she goes back to the hotel.” Richard reassured me quickly and ran after her.

Why would I do it? I wondered. Why. The word was starting to make no sense to me. It didn’t have an answer and it frustrated me. I hated myself deeply.

“Jimmy! They’re waiting!” The roadie called again.

I took a deep breath, feeling lost in dark clouds that hung around me heavily. I walked toward the roadie, taking the guitar in my hands and walking to the stage.

The rest of the show I could think of nothing but the pain that was bursting in me. I played barely there, not paying attention to anything but what my mind was yelling at me.

When the show ended I ran for the car, ignoring anyone or anything that got in my way. I sat sweaty and agitated on the leather seat, begging for the driver to go faster.

When I finally got to the hotel I got out of the car without a word and headed straight for the elevator which took me ever so slowly to the floor we were on.

I flung open the door and flicked on the light, searching through the rooms but finding nothing. Not her, her suitcase or a note. Just the necklace that lay perfectly in the open box on the satin sheets of the bed.
